Committed to Promoting the Tertiary Education Development in China

HONG KONG, May 15, 2018 - (ACN Newswire) - Dr Lui Che-woo, Chairman of K. Wah Group (the "Group") is constantly committed to supporting education development in Mainland China, Hong Kong and overseas and is particularly concerned about the development of tertiary education in his hometown - Jiangmen City, Guangdong Province. As Principal Lifelong Honorary President of Wuyi University Board and Chairman of the former Wuyi University Education Foundation (Hong Kong) Limited, Dr Lui, has today officiated at the ribbon-cutting ceremony of the Wuyi University Student Integrated Service Centre, marking the official opening of the Building.

Mr Zhang Kun, Secretary of Wuyi University CPC Committee; Mr Li Ziliu, former Mayor of Guangzhou, along with Dr Lui, have officiated at the ceremony in attendance of more than 1,000 teachers and students from Wuyi University.

Dr Lui Che-woo, in his speech at the ceremony said, "I was invited to be the Chairman of the Board of Wuyi University to promote the development of the University when it was first established in 2008. Since its inception, our overseas Wuyi fellow natives and members of the Board have offered support to the construction and development of the University while making donations to a number of projects, such as academic building, administrative building, auditorium, library, student dormitory, athletic field, technology building, Shiyou Building, tennis court etc. Meanwhile, I hope to do my best to facilitate the school development by setting up scholarship. Taking the chance, I would like to express my sincere appreciation to Mr Ye Jiakang, founding President of Wuyi University, who has laid a solid foundation for the school development. Special thanks also go to the former and present leaders especially secretaries, presidents and teachers, who have contributed their untiring efforts to achieve new milestones for Wuyi University."

Mr Zheng Kun, Secretary of Wuyi University CPC Committee, said, "Dr Lui Che-woo, as the first Chairman of the Board of Wuyi University, has always cared for and supported the development of Wuyi University. In 2009, the first board proposed and donated this Student Integrated Service Centre. Today, the building is completed successfully, providing students with a good place for learning and communications. Upholding the belief of "Rooted in Jiangmen, serve the community, join hands with stakeholders and develop our own characteristics", we will make every effort to promote the construction of "Guangdong Province's distinctive and high standard university of science and technology", and express our gratitude to the local and overseas fellows, government and leaders with excellent school results.

Believing that "education engenders a strong country", Dr Lui Che-woo strives to support the development of tertiary education with a view to bringing sustainable development for our community. Since the establishment of the Wuyi University, Dr Lui has rendered full support to the construction of the University. After Dr Lui's appointment as the first Chairman of the Board of Wuyi University in 2008, he has steadfastly led the collaboration of local and overseas Wuyi fellow natives to promote the building and development of the University. Dr Lui has taken the initiative to make a donation to Wuyi University for the construction of academic buildings such as the Lui Che-woo Hall and Lui Che-woo Technology Building. In recent years, under Dr Lui's leadership, the Wuyi University Education Foundation (Hong Kong) Limited has donated the accumulated assets that the Foundation amassed over the years to the University for the construction of student dormitory buildings under permanent ownership of the Foundation. All net proceeds generated from the dormitory will continue to support Wuyi University through financial assistance, scholarship endowments and in other matters related to its development.

The groundbreaking ceremony of Wuyi University Student Integrated Service Centre was held on 18 October 2015 - and construction was completed in the winter of 2017. Occupying a gross floor area of approximately 3,500 square meters, the three-storey building's design was led by the famous architectural designer Professor He Jingtang and completed under the guidance of Wu Rongzhi, Chairman of the Third Wuyi University Board. The building offers a one-stop integrated service hall, consisting of the Student Academic Guidance and Service Centre, Psychological Service Centre, Employment Guidance and Service Centre, Admission Service Centre and Alumni Service Centre, etc., fully embodying the talent cultivation and service concept of "everything for the students", sincerely embraced by the founders, including Dr Lui.

Development of Wuyi University:

In early 1984, Mr Li Ziliu was in Hong Kong to rally support of fellow Wuyi natives residing overseas to build a new university in their hometown. The "Committee of Overseas Chinese and Hong Kong Compatriots for the Construction of the Wuyi University" with donations from Dr Lui Che-woo and his fellowmen from Wuyi in Hong Kong was established. In 1992, Dr Lui Che-woo, together with other Wuyi natives in the city including Sir Lee Quo-wei; Mrs Esther Yewpick Lee; Mr Szeto Fai and Mr Wong Kau, set up the "Wuyi University Education Fund Foundation (Hong Kong) Limited" and raised donations of around HK$70 million. The annual earnings derived from the fund has been used to purchase teaching facilities, in particular those not budgeted for, to support the long-term development of the University.

Dr Lui Che-woo was the Chairman of the Board of Wuyi University when it was first established in 2008, dedicated to promoting development of the University. In early 2014, "Wuyi University Education Fund Foundation (Hong Kong) Limited" decided that, after funding construction of the University, the remaining accumulated HK$50 million would be donated to the University for building a permanent student dormitory tower to meet the rising demand of students for on-campus accommodation.

After deduction of operating expenses, the annual income from leasing the student dormitories will be used to offer scholarships or grants to students. According to the University's estimate, a surplus of up to RMB10 million has been accumulated in the four years after the dormitory tower which construction was funded by the "Wuyi University Education Fund Foundation (Hong Kong) Limited" (Education Foundation) began operation.

Dr Lui Chi-woo also suggested the School Affairs Office devising a long-term plan for such recurring income and setting up a special development fund to decide how to best apply the resources to enhance operations of the University. He also advised that all members and representatives of the "Wuyi University Education Fund Foundation (Hong Kong) Limited" maintain close communication and transparency with quarterly report of income and expenses of the development fund, as well as to acknowledge and pay respect to kind donors to the Foundation Fund.

Over the past 30 years, Wuyi University has developed from a bare farmland into a modern university campus. In recent years, the University is dedicated to transforming itself into a high-standard university focusing on engineering disciplines in Guangdong Province, thus it has been pursuing in-depth teaching reforms and has seen its education quality improving steadily. It has nurtured batches after batches of talent for Wuyi, Jiangmen. Currently, there are 19,000 full-time undergraduates and more than 400 post-graduates studying at Wuyi University, which is gaining fame.

Wuyi University is deeply cared by the local and overseas Wuyi fellow natives. Dr Lui Che-woo recommends the University to invite well-known scholars from all around the world to give speeches, share experience and exchange ideas with students so as to broaden their horizons and inspire multi-dimensional thinking, thereby equip them for embracing the development of the country as well as the Big Bay Area.

Mitsubishi Corporation Establishes New Housing Developer in the Philippines

TOKYO, May 16, 2018 - (JCN Newswire) - Mitsubishi Corporation (MC) is pleased to announce its agreement with Century Properties Group, Inc. (Century), a prominent real estate enterprise in the Philippines, to establish a new joint venture, PHirst Park Homes (New Company). The New Company will develop affordable housing communities in the Philippines at suburban locations with convenient access to existing employment hubs.

The New Company will be formed following the success of an initial joint project, through which MC and Century were able to find synergies for leveraging their respective strengths in real estate development. Through its 40% ownership, MC will contribute management and project development expertise as well as introduce Japanese materials and technology to the project while Century, with 60% ownership, will bring to the partnership its vast experience and successful marketing strategies in the Philippine real estate industry.

With a target to supply 10 thousand units annually by launching 3 to 5 projects every year at key locations in the Philippines, The New Company aims to satisfy the growing needs of predominantly first-time homeowners for affordable housing by supplying high-quality but reasonably priced homes mainly ranging from 3 to 5 million yen.

The high economic growth rate of the country these past years has led to a rapid increase in the flow of population into urban areas. This led to housing shortages accompanied by a steep rise in prices and so, providing housing solutions became a major priority for the Philippine government.

MC has previously participated in some nine projects across ASEAN and supplies approximately 15,000 housing units in the region. Through such real estate and urban development initiatives, MC consistently fulfills its goal to simultaneously generate economic, environmental and societal values.

About Mitsubishi Corporation

HKBU develops world-first metal-based probes for detection of dopamine receptors, a cancer biomarker

Dr Edmond Ma Dik-lung has developed the world's first metal-based probes for imaging dopamine receptor in living cells.
Discovery can be potentially developed as a novel early cancer detection technology.

HONG KONG, May 16, 2018 - (ACN Newswire) - A team led by Dr Edmond Ma Dik-lung, Associate Professor of the Department of Chemistry of Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) has developed the world's first iridium(III)-based probes for imaging dopamine receptors in living cells. The discovery has enhanced the understanding of dopamine receptors in carcinogenesis, and the findings can be potentially developed as a novel early cancer detection technology. The study was published in the inside front cover of Chemical Science, the flagship journal of the Royal Society of Chemistry.

Dopamine is an important neurotransmitter in the central nervous system of the human body and plays important roles in motivation, cognition and motor control. While dopamine receptors have long been implicated in neurodegenerative diseases, such as Parkinson's disease, recent evidence has linked dopamine receptors also with various cancers, including lung, breast and colon cancers. Traditional detection methods for dopamine receptors include the enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). However, such methods suffer from high cost, incompatibility with living systems, and are not suitable for the real-time study of the biological role of dopamine receptors.

The metal-based probes developed by the team are able to selectively bind to dopamine receptors on lung cancer cells, "lighting up" the cells and making them visible to the naked eye. The probes enable the monitoring and tracking of dopamine receptors in living cells in a real-time and in a non-invasive fashion. Moreover, the experiment results demonstrated that the imaging colour intensity was correlates with the expression levels of dopamine receptors on cancer cells. These probes could therefore both help to elucidate the role of dopamine receptors in the pathogenesis of cancers and offer a potential diagnostic tool for the early screening of cancers. Importantly, the metal-based probes avoid the problems of poor photostability and photobleaching that limit conventional fluorescent imaging dyes.

The research project entitled "Cell imaging of dopamine receptor using agonist labeling iridium(III) complex" was led by Dr Edmond Ma of HKBU together with Professor Leung Chung-hang of the Institute of Chinese Medical Sciences, University of Macau. Other collaborators of the project included researchers from the School of Chinese Medicine of HKBU, the City University of Hong Kong, University of Florida, USA, and Hunan University, China.

Dr Ma said, "Early detection is crucial for improving the survival rate of hard-to-treat cancers such as lung cancer, which is associated with dopamine receptor expression. For instance, data from the American Cancer Society shows that patients with early stage non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) have a five-year survival rate of about 92%, but this drops to only about 36% when the cancer has progressed to an advanced stage. We therefore believe that these dopamine receptor probes show great promise for the development of molecular diagnostic tools for the early detection of cancer."

Dr Ma added that because the probes could successfully track the internalisation process of dopamine receptors in cells, they also represent powerful tools for studying the role of dopamine receptors in the pathogenesis of cancer.

Toyota President Akio Toyoda Honoured with Prestigious "Issigonis Trophy' by Autocar Magazine

Toyota City, Japan, May 16, 2018 - (JCN Newswire) - Akio Toyoda, the President of Toyota Motor Corporation, has been presented with the Issigonis Trophy, the highest personal honour awarded by Autocar, the world's oldest automotive magazine.

The award, named after the internationally celebrated car designer Sir Alec Issigonis, creator of the Mini, was announced at the annual Autocar Awards, hosted at the Silverstone race circuit in the UK on Tuesday (15 May).

Mark Tisshaw, Autocar Editor said: "This is our highest accolade and our most prestigious and most personal award. It goes to Mr Toyoda in recognition of the quite incredible job he has done at the helm of Toyota and Lexus. He has been proved right on so many issues and it is inspiring to see him do such diverse things as lead the agenda on future powertrain technologies and bring back cars that appeal to the enthusiast, all while selling a vast amount of ever-more desirable cars."

Mr Toyoda was unable to attend the presentation, but expressed his gratitude in a video message. Celebrating the inspirational work of Issigonis, he was filmed arriving in Toyota City at the wheel of a classic Mini.

He said: "I am very honoured to receive the Issigonis Trophy because I feel it represents a link between our industry's great past and its future."

He paid tribute to his grandfather, Kiichiro Toyoda, the founder of Toyota, and said he was in fact accepting the award on his behalf, rather than for himself.

He continued: "Today, in the midst of the greatest transformation the auto industry has experienced in the past hundred years, I feel that Kiichiro is behind me, saying 'you should face it with challenging spirits'. In this greatest transformation, what we do not forget is that our core business, cars, are much more than pieces of metal. They represent the freedom to move. And when you are free to move, anything is possible."

In conclusion, he paid a personal tribute to the Mini, a car he drove himself during his time living and workuing in London in the 1980s, acknowledging how it remains an inspiration to him. He said: "For me it is the kind of car we should all dream of making. Affordable, simple and as fun to drive as a go-cart. Even if the future people will go to work in autonomous pods, as industry leaders it is also our job to keep making cars like this."

Mr. Toyoda received his trophy in Toyota City from Steve Cropley, Autocar Editor-in-Chief.

Mr Toyoda took up the position of Toyota President in 2009 and has led the company in a programme of innovation and development that looks beyond vehicle manufacturing to find ways of providing everyone in society with the freedom of mobility. Under his leadership, the company pursues a mission of making ever-better cars, recognising the importance of the pure enjoyment of driving and drawing inspiration and excitement from involvement in international motorsport.

At the same time, Toyota's Environmental Challenge 2050 has set high targets for significant reductions in the environmental impact of every aspect of the company's global operations and its products. Toyota seeks both to protect and enhance the environment and is a world leader in the development of electrified powertrains. It has continuously evolved its hybrid technology from the launch of the original Prius in 1997 to the delivery of Mirai, the world's first hydrogen fuel cell electric saloon, a car that signals the potential great environmental benefits of a future hydrogen society.

Envisioned mixed-reality solution for remote sharing of temporal-spatial information
TOKYO, May 17, 2018 - (JCN Newswire) - Electric industry leader Tokyo Electric Power Company Holdings Inc. (TEPCO) announced today that it has joined forces with IT and entertainment developer Pocket Queries Inc. to develop a mixed-reality (MR) solution that will combine the real and virtual worlds for fast, easy, three-dimensional visualization of data in the workplace. In the initial phase, collaborative research will focus on supporting frontline personnel working in power plants or factories. The collaboration agreement runs from May 2018 to March 2020.

During their research, the two parties will utilize mixed reality to develop a highly accessible and easy-to-use system for consolidating and displaying data, such as inspection readings, and supporting manual data entry. A working model will be tested on-site in mixed-reality environments that merge physical and digital spaces. Test sites will include a mix of TEPCO power plants and the TEPCO Research Institute.

Mixed reality areas will be constructed in physical spaces to display sensor- and support-related data for ready access during routine inspections and patrols. Also, an advanced communication protocol will be developed for sharing visual, audio and holographic data in real time between on-site and control room personnel. Such scenarios will be used to identify how and where mixed reality technology is most applicable, based on which practical interfaces will be devised.

The aim will be to not only raise efficiency and performance, but also change how work is conducted by redefining the boundaries of time, location and worker experience. The introduction of mixed reality in Japan's electrical utility field would be an industry first.

"By combining gaming-world and mixed-reality technologies, we aim to bring about an evolutionary change in the way people work and allow them to use their limited working hours as effectively as possible," said Nobuhiko Sasaki, CEO of Pocket Queries.

"As an electric power company that prioritizes both safety and efficiency, TEPCO is looking to leverage the power of MR to help us work more efficiently and ensure greater safety for optimal energy services," said Taishi Yamakawa of the TEPCO Research Institute Management Strategy Research Office. "Through our collaboration with Pocket Queries, we look forward to developing a mixed-reality solution that will greatly enhance our work processes."

The results of the collaborative research and practical trials at TEPCO are also expected to be applied in a commercial "QuantuMR" MR-based package solution that Pocket Queries would offer to various industries.

The collaboration will focus on core "Q" themes based on the "Quantize the World" concept:
- Queuing your mission data: Automatically create MR spatial data
- Query to remote-worker: Communicate remotely via an MR space
- Quest like a game: Provide on-site suggestions and guidance via MR
- Quick and magical tools: Improve efficiency with MR-specific tools
- Quote for your working report: Tie data to physical objects for use in reports
- Quantum for everyone: Convert MR data into knowledge for sharing/application

Data is the lifeblood of everyday operations at TEPCO electrical plants and other industrial facilities. As the Internet of Things and digitalization of workplaces expand, the management of such data will grow in importance. Going forward, the question is, how will businesses navigate between the real and virtual worlds to make data work for them increasingly quickly and efficiently?

Pocket Queries, drawing on its experience and expertise in the fields of game design and the development of augmented-reality and virtual-reality software, has been researching how to bring upgrade work floors with practical MR-based technology tailored specifically for the industrial sector. The company seeks to combine the power of gaming and advanced mixed reality for new solutions that enhance workplace efficiency.

TEPCO has a similar vision to strengthen frontline support and bring increased innovation to factory floors. Under its mission to provide a stable source of energy combined with high-value service, TEPCO is committed to exploring the latest technological advances in facility operation and maintenance.

SINGAPORE, May 17, 2018 - (ACN Newswire) - Hari Raya Light Up 2018 returned to Geylang Serai on 12 May and will run until 30 June 2018, bringing with it a visual feast of more than 50 light installations.

Themed "Celebrating our kampung spirit", the annual event once again brightened the streets of Singapore's largest Malay enclave with displays inspired by Malay art and cultural icons. The crowd-pleasing shopping bazaar also returned this year with about 800 stalls serving up a plethora of traditional Malay fare, outfits and ornaments.

Mr Eric Wong (JP, BBM(L)), Chairman of the Hari Raya Light Up 2018 Organising Committee expressed keen anticipation. He said, "We look forward to celebrating the old kampung spirit in this year's festive light-up. Each year without fail, Geylang Serai comes alive with creative light displays in the lead-up to Ramadan and Hari Raya Puasa. This is something the local community eagerly awaits, but the Hari Raya Light Up also invites our international friends to experience and be immersed in the Malay culture of Singapore. We hope this year's event will give them a taste of the traditional kampung spirit that resonates with our cultural roots."

"Hari Raya is one of Singapore's major festivals. Aside from honouring Malay culture and heritage, the Hari Raya Light Up festivities are a reflection of our multi-racial community and bring vibrancy to the Geylang Serai precinct. We are delighted to continue supporting this event as a rich cultural experience for both local and global visitors alike to enjoy," said Mr Kenneth Lim, Director, Cultural Precincts Development, Singapore Tourism Board.

Gorgeous displays to cast light on Malay cultural icons

Over the fifty days, visitors can expect to see Malay cultural icons captured in lights along Sims Avenue, Geylang Road and Changi Road. Two main arches welcome visitors with brilliant traditional Malay heritage icons along Sims Avenue and Changi Road, while a circular arch stands tall at the corner of Engku Aman Road and Sims Avenue.

The first main arch features a traditional kampung house and sampan, motifs inspired by the concepts of community and homecoming. The kampung house signifies the gathering of a family or community living closely together, while the sampan is symbolic of the many abroad travelling home to be with loved ones during the fasting month.

The second main arch features a mosque, while the third circular arch presents a stunning 3D centerpiece also depicting a mosque - representative of the place of worship where Muslims may congregate for their tarawih prayers during Ramadan.

Additional arches along the way bear conventional Islamic symbols like the crescent and star, along with words of blessings often exchanged by Muslims during the holy month.

Open plaza at the new Wisma Geylang Serai venue for Hari Raya Light Up launch

In conjunction with the festivities, the open plaza at Wisma Geylang Serai was the venue for the official launch of Hari Raya Light Up. The brand-new Malay-Muslim social and cultural heritage hub also features a larger-than-life backdrop crafted in the iconic shape of a 'kompang', the traditional Malay musical instrument.

Crowd-pleasing bazaar to happen 12 May to 14 June 2018

Fans can expect Geylang Serai to be bustling with bazaar stalls from 12 May to 14 June 2018. Spanning the areas around Geylang Serai market, Joo Chiat Complex and the former Malay Village, as well as along Geylang Road, stalls offer delectable dishes including Ramly burger, kebab and vadai. Malay visitors will also be delighted to find a rich offering of traditional costumes and accessories at the bazaar in time for upcoming Hari Raya Puasa celebrations.

Breaking fast together in kampung community

Another aspect of Hari Raya Light Up is the various iftar sessions to be held at Wisma Geylang Serai, where residents and other members of the constituency will gather to break fast at sunset. These events seek to foster a shared sense of affinity and belonging within the community.

Cultural Heritage Race to acquaint participants with Malay culture

Other highlights include an invigorating Cultural Heritage Race that will take place on 20 May 2018 to bring adjacent communities closer together. In teams of three that must include a non-Malay Singaporean and a new Singapore Citizen, as well as a Singapore Permanent Resident or Employment Pass holder, competitors will race within the boundaries of the bazaar and Geylang Serai Heritage Trail to discover nuggets of cultural information about Hari Raya and the Malay community in Singapore. In the spirit of celebration, male and female participants must also don songkoks and selendangs (male and female Muslim accessories) respectively during the race.

Choosing a Cryptocurrency Exchange and Solving the Liquidity Problem with HFT algorithms

$
0
0

HONG KONG, May 17, 2018 - (ACN Newswire) - The rise of cryptocurrency trading has absolutely everything to do with exchange platforms. Today, global trade volume is growing, and cryptocurrency exchanges are adding more and more new users each day. They represent the focal point for deal-making in the sector, by allowing everyone to execute trades without having to read through numerous forums in order to find someone willing to take the other side of the transaction with no guarantees of success and security.

By design, exchanges provide the entire crypto market with an essential service: liquidity. Here, we discuss it, see how HFT algorithms can assess it and assist in finding the best deals. Liquidity is one of the largest challenges in the sector. It is heavily influenced not only by regulations but also by the speculative nature of today's crypto market.

Many people make decisions to buy or sell cryptocurrency at about the same time or place relatively large orders, which cause volatility; and the market is not just able to absorb it or handle a transaction of 10k bitcoins without the value of the cryptocurrency changing. This happens due to the lack of liquidity, compared to the traditional financial market and the equivalent in cash, the most liquid asset.

Apart from the trading activity, for a single exchange, its own unique liquidity is determined by its ability to keep reserves to draw on when running out of coins to sell. Smaller exchanges, with a daily trading volume of around 1k BTC, often face supply-and-demand issues or local price slippage and require the buyer to cover it, together with the gas - transaction cost of around 1-10% above the original price.

Liquidity is one of the main things to consider when choosing a cryptocurrency exchange. Here are the two factors that explain it:

- Security and reputation. Cryptocurrency exchanges have become an appealing target for cybercriminals, with the most notorious hacks of Gox, Bitfinex, Coincheck and other major trading platforms, leading to billions of dollars in losses. In addition to information security, exchanges now are responsible for detecting and preventing the so-called pump-and-dump schemes and other fraudulent activities. Both tasks require sophisticated security protocols and high-end infrastructure that can cost up to millions of dollars to set up and operate. However, the effects of these investments on reputation build up over the long term and result in more money flowing in.

- Trading volume and trading pairs. Top exchanges have 24-hour trading volumes of more than $1b and offer multiple trading pairs with major cryptocurrencies such as bitcoin and ether listed as base ones. By design, crypto-only exchanges have many coins available and tend to accumulate higher trading volumes. Fiat-accepting exchanges, on the other hand, have lower liquidity due to overregulation, stringent verification process, and limited trading pairs, so their trading volume can be smaller as well.

How HFT algorithms can solve the problem

With the "Flash Boys" book out on the streets, high-frequency trading has been scrutinized by media and associated with market abuse. HFT traders, thought to be constantly seeking ways to profit from the system, have become scapegoats for the liquidity problem. In turn, high-frequency trading, originally developed to work on stock exchanges, has proven its efficiency in a decentralized cryptocurrency market.

STeX.Exchange ( https://stex.exchange/ ) is a pioneer in the automated liquidity aggregation space. This project solves the liquidity problem by aggregating offers from cryptocurrency exchanges in one place without any market-altering effects. Here, HFT algorithms allow for real-time analysis of information across thousands of exchanges and provide customers with the best deals available on the market. STeX is designed as a decentralized system, with a custom-built A2A (Any-to-Any) technology that supports up to 10k cross rates and handles the exchange of any crypto assets in a single direct trade.

In this way, STeX will become an ultimate exchange platform and solve one of the largest challenges that limit faster growth for the cryptocurrency market. In fact, STeX aims to become one of the largest providers of crypto asset liquidity by adopting a wide range of traditional financial instruments such as futures and options, together with trading tools: from trailing stop loss orders to take profit orders; and deploying sophisticated HTF market-making algorithms to power the system.

To date, this project has raised 15k ETH during the August-September crowdfunding campaign and released its MVP.

To raise additional funds for the venture, STeX will conduct an ICO. The STeX A2A fundraiser ( https://stex.exchange/ico ) started on May 1 and will be closed in 1-2 months. You can buy A2A tokens for ETH, BTC, LTC, DASH, TRX, BTG, BCH. Tokens can be used inside the STEX platform for bonuses and discounted commission payment.

About STeX.Exchange
STeX.Exchange is the first cryptocurrency exchange with automated liquidity aggregation, and powered with innovative A2A (Any2Any) technology. The platform offers a combination of i) direct access to the top 100 coins with cross-trading between any two type of coins; ii) ability to use one's own cold wallets to store coins; iii)an automated system to aggregate liquidity from the other exchanges. The project completed its crowdfunding by hitting its hard cap of 15,000 ETH in September 2017. Its alpha version was launched on 27 March 2018 and will launch its beta version in Q22018.

Working to a theme of "Exquisite & Edgy," the team made improvements in design, engines, handling and safety. As a result, the new model offers superior environmental and safety performance and driving performance that engenders a sense of unity for all on board in common driving situations

The redesigned model adopts parts of Mazda's next-generation SKYACTIV-Vehicle Architecture(2) to retain the CX-3's excellent handling as a compact car while offering comfortable driving around town and on longer drives. Aiming to make the CX-3 even more fun to drive while providing a quieter and more comfortable ride, the team revised the suspension tuning, adopted newly developed tires(3) and chose higher-damping urethane for the front seats.

For both engine options, efforts focused on realizing high levels of both driving pleasure and environmental performance. A new 1.8-liter SKYACTIV-D diesel engine improves efficiency and emissions performance in common driving situations. It also enhances Mazda's responsive driving feel with strong torque at high rpms for powerful and smooth acceleration. The SKYACTIV-G 2.0-liter gasoline engine adopts the same innovations as in the updated Mazda CX-5, including edge-cut piston heads and high-dispersion injectors. These new technologies improve torque throughout the entire rev range and contribute to better real-world fuel efficiency.

Design improvements, including changes to the front grille, LED rear combination lamps and aluminum wheels, are aimed at creating the feeling of a higher-class vehicle. Inside, the center console has been redesigned and the addition of an electric parking brake, center armrest and multi-box enhance comfort and reduce fatigue.

In terms of safety, the refreshed CX-3 is the first model to adopt an updated version of Advanced Smart City Brake Support (Advanced SCBS) with enhanced ability to detect pedestrians at night. This and other safety features, such as Mazda Radar Cruise Control (MRCC)(4) with Stop & Go,(5) a 360 degrees View Monitor,(6) and an auto-dimming rearview mirror help the driver recognize potential dangers both day and night.

The Exclusive Mods special edition features deep red Nappa leather upholstery for a look of quality and maturity. In combination with the white interior trim, it creates an edgy, urban atmosphere.

"The concept behind the CX-3 was to create the standard for the new era, and we've worked hard to evolve the model in response to customer feedback," said Michio Tomiyama, program manager for the model. "Moving forward, we will continue efforts to improve our product in ways that customers will appreciate in everyday driving scenarios and enhance the essential value that cars offer. Working to help create a future in which cars can co-exist with people, society and the earth, we will enrich people's lives with an experience of car-ownership that celebrates the joy of driving and build a strong emotional connection with customers."

Updates to the Mazda CX-3

1. Advances in handling

- Aiming for reassuring, intuitive and responsive handling, the team incorporated some of the technologies of Mazda's next-generation SKYACTIV-Vehicle Architecture, which is firmly grounded in the company's human-centered design philosophy and draws out people's inherent capabilities. Improvements were made to the front dampers, front stabilizers and coil springs, and the G-Vectoring Control and electric power steering systems were carefully tuned to achieve even smoother changes in vehicle posture.
- Newly developed 18-inch tires with a softer vertical spring and optimized rubber and tread combine with the more responsive suspension to smoothly absorb any impact from the road surface. Ride comfort is enhanced by greatly reducing the impact and resulting oscillations of passing over a joint in the road.
- A quieter cabin has been achieved by increasing the thickness of front- and rear-door outer panels, making the rear-door window glass as thick as that of the front-door (4 mm), improving the door seals and the sound-absorbing properties of the headliner. The new tires also reduce unpleasant road noise by suppressing vibrations from the road surface.
- Cushions in the front seats use the same high-damping urethane as those in the Mazda CX-8, a high-end SUV. Its superior damping and vibration-reducing properties ensure comfortable seating and improve ride quality.

2. Advances in the engine lineup

- Aiming to provide true value to customers, efforts focused on achieving even higher levels of driving pleasure and environmental performance in situations drivers face on a daily basis. Advances in both the gasoline and diesel engines aimed at achieving better speed control and a response that better matches the driver's operation of the accelerator pedal.
- The previous 1.5-liter diesel engine has been replaced by a newly developed SKYACTIV-D 1.8-liter diesel engine to improve real-world fuel economy and emissions performance. With ultra-high-response multi-hole injectors and a variable-geometry turbocharger, it produces strong torque at higher rpms for smooth and powerful acceleration.
- Aiming to improve real-world economy, achieve an even faster response and reduce noxious gases in exhaust emissions, the SKYACTIV-G 2.0 has been updated with the same new technologies as that in the recently updated CX-5. These include low-friction pistons with edge-cut heads, new high-dispersion injectors and other enhancements that improve torque throughout the entire rpm range, contribute to better real-world fuel economy and allow intuitive speed control in common driving situations.

3. Design enhancements

- The radical yet refined beauty of the CX-3 has been further enhanced under the theme of "Exquisite & Edgy."
- For the exterior, enhancements were made to the grille, the LED combination lamps and the aluminum wheels. Fog lamp bezels and pillar garnishes in gloss black and chrome side garnish moldings give the impression of a higher class vehicle.
- Changes in the cabin focused not only on improving the interior design, but on enhancing overall ease-of-use based on the human-centered philosophy. The adoption of an electric parking brake allowed a complete redesign of the center console, including the addition of an armrest and flexible storage box. A center armrest with inbuilt cup holders was added to the rear seat for comfort and convenience.
- Materials and colors for the instrument panel, seat upholstery and door trim were chosen to create a mature cabin atmosphere uncommon in vehicles of this size.

4. Advances in safety

- The refreshed CX-3 is the first model to adopt an updated version of Advanced Smart City Brake Support (Advanced SCBS) with enhanced ability to detect pedestrians in the dark. With the same lineup of advanced safety technologies as Mazda's high-end models, the CX-3 supports safe driving both day and night.
- With Stop & Go functionality, Mazda Radar Cruise Control (MRCC) can now bring the vehicle to a complete stop, allowing the driver to relax and enjoy the drive.
- A 360 degrees View Monitor is available as a factory installed option for all model grades, offering peace of mind even for less confident drivers.
- An auto-dimming rearview mirror is standard equipment on all model grades.
