MHPS H-25 Gas Turbine |
The co-generation plant is to be built within IFFCO's existing Phulpur plant in Uttar Pradesh, northern India. Plans call for an output of 22 megawatts (MW) and steam volume of 60 tons per hour. After commissioning, the new plant will stably support the power and steam consumption demands of IFFCO's large-scale urea and fertilizer factory. Its outstandingly efficient operation will also contribute to overall energy savings at the Phulpur site.
The CHP plant will consist mainly of MHPS's H-25 gas turbine, a generator and a heat recovery steam generator (HRSG). MHPS will supply the H-25 gas turbine via MHPS India, which will be responsible for supplying the HRSG and other equipment. MHPS has also proposed a long-term maintenance contract under which it will support the long-range, stable operation of the customer's plant through parts supply, dispatch of technical advisors, etc.
The H-25 is a state-of-the-art high-reliability, heavy-duty gas turbine that offers outstanding ease of maintenance at its installation site and requires infrequent repair. The new order from IFFCO was placed in recognition of the turbine's superlative performance and MHPS's abundant track record in orders received since 1987: 27 units for customers in Japan and 144 for overseas customers. To date MHPS has delivered a total of 17 gas turbines to India.
MHPS has an advantageous position within its industry by virtue of its capability to offer a full range of products for thermal power generation systems, enabling the company to provide its customers a total portfolio of power solutions. Going forward, the company will continue to make solid contributions to the economic development of countries and regions worldwide by responding to a wide array of user needs, providing stable power supplies while simultaneously also reducing environmental burdens.
